In other scriptures
of other religions such as Hinduism, we find similar command given to
humans to consume these fast breeding mammals, [Manusmruti 5:30-32].
Nevertheless, killing them for eating and without any pain to them is
condition implied. Nature does not want man to kill for any other
purpose. It becomes evident from the command that says, "You
kill, without pain to them, and eat" and not just kill. This
tells us that eating meat of these crazing mammals and birds is part
of man's ritual to help god in keeping balance of these creatures. In
Manusmruti, it says only when you give this meat as offering to God
that you can eat it not otherwise. That means God eats it through
your mouth. Among Hindus, there is a tradition to serve meat of these
animals as an offering to Goddess Amba (in its many forms). However,
some hypocrite religions profess (unlimited) non-violence to protect
these fast growing animals. They are actually disobeying the command
of God that human must help providence in maintaining balance of this
cosmos. Killing for food is not considered as violence by God but if
you kill for any other purpose it is violence and not permitted by
God. This explanation goes well with both Jesus' teachings and
Manusmruti. Let us see one more reference in this connection given in
Tymothy.
Tymothy:
Timothy
4:1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times
some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things
taught by demons. [Man shall do this because of his ego.]
Timothy
4:2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars,
whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.
Timothy
4:3 They forbid people to marry and order them to
abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with
thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth.
Timothy
4:4 For everything God created is good, and nothing
is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving. [This means
you shall first offer all you want to eat to God and then consume
that on behalf of God as libation]
