After Mohammad was
killed by arsenic poison Abu Bkr was appointed as caliph of Arabs of
those tribes. Caliph means the chief of their tribe. Layer on these
three who occupied that post after death of them each, were honored
by Arabs as Rashidun. That means ideal Muslim!
After AbuBkr had
settled as Caliph, he began to conquer lands in the region of Iraq
and Syria. There he began to convert those non-Arabs to Islam. That
was not difficult because those people were actually wanted to
convert to Islam of Mohammad. They were Araemean, Assyrian, Sudanese,
other communities from that place. In addition to that, Arabs made
laws by them to do business in Damascus and other cities the license
is given only to one who is Muslim. Because of this law trader,
communities from nearby countries such as India, Afghanistan and
China had to show that they are Muslims. By that law many were easily
converted to that newly founded Arab religion.
Honest followers of
Mohammad did not like this gimmick of AbuBkr. They challenged that
law and other conversions to Islam of non-Arabs to Islam. There were
repeated protests of those honest Companions of Mohammad and there
were frequent frictions between Arab Companions of Mohammad and armed
forces of AbuBkr. There are records shows that as many as eight
hundred honest companions were killed by forces of AbuBkr in many
battles those took place in protest oif this conversion by AbuBkr
against the dictates of Prophet. Finally, this agent of Satan who was
posing as Rashidun had to come to terms of popular opinion that Islam
is only for Arab. There was understanding that Islam will not be
spread as religion out of Arab community. However, as we now Satan is
a brain to reckon with, AbuBkr devised other excuse to convert people
to Islam. In that he used Arab mentality of having slaves for doing
there work. This practice is very old amongst Arab tribes. By Arab
law, a slave must do whatever their master does. Therefore, Slave of
an Arab has to imitate whatever his master does. He is Muslim or not!
In that practice the slave has to wear a cap called skullcap he has
to wear. By that cap an Arab will know where are his slaves. Today we
see many Muslims wearing such caps of varied designs particularly
when they are performing Namaz. However, they most think that that
cap is cap of Islam! If that was so why no Arab wears such cap?
This trick worked
well and AbuBkr could successfully dislodge rule given by the prophet
conveniently. No Companion of Mohammed could complain against
conversion to Islam because that was not conversion to Islam but
conversion to Arab Slavery.
